Eg: A = {1, 2, 3, 4, 5}
Here A is the set.
1, 2, 3, 4, 5 are elements of set .
We can also write
1 belongs to A
i.e.1 ∈ A
Similarly,
2 ∈ A
3 ∈ A
4 ∈ A
5 ∈ A
Since, 6 is not in set A,
We write, 6 doesn’t belong to A
i.e. 6 ∉ A
