If Direct is Simple Past

→ In Indirect, it becomes Past Perfect

Example

  1. Direct Speech
    She said "I lived in Delhi"
  2. Indirect Speech
    She said that she had lived in Delhi

Note:-

In Direct Speech, we use "lived" (Simple Past)

In Indirect Speech, we use "had lived" (Past Perfect)

Convert into Indirect Speech

Simran said "I bought an iPhone"
