• Cell Organelles are present in larger and more complex cells that require multiple chemical activities to maintain structure and function .
  • They are the parts of the cell that perform its various life sustaining functions such as production , packaging and transport of proteins , making energy from food, etc.
  • Some organelles , like plastids, are only found in plant cells . This is because the functions they perform are not required in animal cells.
  • Hence, we can see that due to the different functions of the cells,  plant and animal cells have some fundamental differences in their structures .
