Answer:

Butanone is a 4 (butan-) carbon compound with a ketone (-one)group on one carbon.   

If you recall, Ketogenic groups are never placed on the end carbons.          

Here, there are 2 middle carbons, and the double bond O can be placed on either.

It forms only 1 distinct compound, namely Butanone .
