(c) Aluminium is a highly reactive metal, yet it is used to make utensils for cooking.

  • Aluminium is a highly reactive metal 
  • It reacts readily with oxygen to form Aluminium Oxide (Al 2 O 3 ) which is very stable .
  • This layer protects Aluminium from further damage or corrosion . 
  • This layer of Aluminium oxide doesn’t react with food while cooking, that is why it is used to make utensils for cooking.
