Two ways in which non-biodegradable substances would affect the environment are

  • They contaminate the soil and water bodies because Non-biodegradable substances do not get decomposed even in a very long time
  • Since these substances can not be decomposed, substances like plastic can be eaten by stray animals and cause illness and diseases in them.
