What are Different Sexual Hormones

Sex hormones are the the chemical substances produced by sex organs.

In males, Testosterone is the male sex hormone produced by Testes

In females, Estrogen is the female sex hormone produced by Ovaries

 

Testosterone

It is called male hormone

They are secreted by testes

They help in

  1. Increase in Muscles
  2. Increase in Growth of body
  3. Development of Body Hair

 

 

Estrogen

It is called Female Hormone

They are secreted by ovaries

They help in

  1. Developing breasts in females
  2. Growth of female reproductive organs like uterus
  3. They control menstrual cycle (when females will get periods)
