Is it true that in linear equations if LHS has a root number that it will become square in RHS. Then why if I have √3 in LHS will not become 3^2 in RHS.

If we have a root, we square both sides.
So, if
AB = √3
Then,
AB2 = (√3)2
AB2 = 3
