Concept of Basic Pay and Grade Pay is normaly used in Government Companies
Suppse Basic Pay is 5000-10%-15000 and Grade Pay is 7000 and DA is 150%
It means in first year
Basic Pay (Salary) is 5000
(This will increase 10% every year and can maximum reach 15000)
Grade Pay=7000
(Apart from basic pay, government employees receive grade pay which depends on the category/class of employee.)
DA is calculated on Total of Basic+Grade=150%*(5000+7000)=150%*12000=18000
Total Salary=Basic+DA+Grade=5000+7000+18000=30000
