in class 11th in math subeject have a chapter principal of mathmetical indution in chapter i do know what step should be taken for solving a sum

Please follow the following steps while doing questions of mathematical induction

1. Let P(n): (the equation)
2. Prove P(n) for n = 1
3. Assume P(k) is true (make this as 1st equation)
4. Prove P(k + 1) true (prove this using the 1st equation)
5. Write the following line
   P(k + 1) is true when P(k) is true.
   Thus by the principle of mathematical induction, P(n) is true for n, where n is a natural number.
