What is Fuel?

The material which are burned to produce heat energy are called Fuels

In simple words-

Substance which can burn in air is called combustible substance

Example

  • Coal, LPG, Kerosene, Diesel, Petrol are fuels
  • LPG is a liquid fuel used in home for burning

Some fuels burn more heat than other fuels. It is found by Calorific Value of Fuel
