1. They are used in the preparation of curd, breads and cakes
2. They are used  in the production of alcohol and vinegar
3. Microorganisms help in creating medicines like antibiotics
4. They are used to increase soil fertility by fixing Nitrogen gas in air
5. Microorganisms clean the environment by decomposing dead remains of plants and animals
6. Our gut has microorganisms which help us digest food better
7. Microorganisms are used as preservatives in food, which helps us preserve food for a long time
8. Microorganisms are also used in processing and aging of cheese
9. Microorganisms are used to make biogas , which serves as a fuel
10. Microorganisms are also used in sewage treatment
