Cube of Negative numbers

Let’s take –2

 

 Cube of –2 = (–2) 3

= –2 × –2 × –2

= –2 × 2 × 2

= –8

 

So, cube of negative numbers is negative,

and cube of positive numbers is positive

 

Note:

This is different from squares.

Square of a number is always positive

But Cube of a number can be negative
