- It is of 10 digits
- 5 Alphabets+4 Numbers+1Alphabet
- It can be obtained by Individuals as well as partnership firm and companies .
- A person and his proprietorship firm has same pan number.However if it is partnership or company,then separate pan number is to be obtained
