Ex10.3, 2 Reduce the following equations into intercept form and find their intercepts on the axes. 3x + 2y 12 = 0 . 3x + 2y 12 = 0 3x + 2y = 0 + 12 3x + 2y = 12 Dividing both sides by 12 (3x + 2y)/12 = 12/12 3 /12 + 2 /12 = 1 /4 + /6 = 1 The above equation is of the form / + / = 1 where x-intercept = a = 4 & y-intercept = b = 6
