Situations that display lack of internal democracy within a Political party:

1. Parties do not keep membership registers , do not hold organizational meetings , and do not conduct internal elections regularly.
2. Ordinary members of the party do not get sufficient information on what happens inside the party.
3. Since they don’t have the connection or the means to influence decisions, the party leaders assume great power.
4. A party’s leadership is dominated by a few people, so those who disagree are unable to stay in it.
5. Rather than following party principles and policies, it becomes more important to follow the leader.
