Can we draw the following conclusions from the information given in this chapter? Give two facts to support your position for each of these.

 

Election Commission of India does not have enough powers to conduct free and fair elections in the country.

 

Answer:

  • The Election Commission of India has the authority necessary to hold free and fair elections.

  • Any candidate or party that disobeys the code of conduct is penalised.

  • Government employees that are involved in elections work for the Election Commission, not the government.
