Poverty line
It is a measure based on levels of income and consumption by people to identify poor. People must meet their basic needs of food, clothing, clean water, education, and healthcare by having a minimum level of income and consumption.
Global poverty scenario
Global poverty has declined significantly. Regional differences, however, are significant. Southeast Asian and Chinese countries have experienced greater poverty declines.
Vulnerability
It describes the greater probability of certain communities or individuals becoming or remaining, poor in the coming years.
Monetary Expenditure
It means the money spent on purchasing any goods or services.
Headcount ratio
National poverty headcount ratio is the percentage of the population living below the national poverty line.
