Answer by Student

  • It provides a framework for government . The constitution outlines the structure of the government, the powers of each branch, and the relationship between the government and the people. This helps to ensure that the government is fair and accountable to the people.

  • It protects individual rights . The constitution guarantees certain fundamental rights to all citizens, such as the right to free speech, the right to freedom of religion, and the right to due process of law. These rights protect individuals from the arbitrary power of the government.

  • It promotes social justice . The constitution enshrines the principle of equality before the law, and it prohibits discrimination on the basis of race, religion, caste, or sex. This helps to ensure that all citizens have an equal opportunity to participate in society.

It is a living document. The constitution is not a static document. It can be amended to reflect the changing needs of society. This ensures that the constitution remains relevant and effective over time.
