Ubiquitous resources

Localized resources

Meaning

Ubiquitous resources are those resources that are found everywhere. 

Localized resources are those resources that are found at certain places.

Exhaustibility

Ubiquitous resources are inexhaustible and renewable. They do not get depleted by human use.

Localized resources are exhaustible and non-renewable. They get depleted by human use over time.

Economic value

Ubiquitous resources have low economic value because they are abundant and easily available.

Localized resources have high economic value because they are scarce and difficult to obtain.

Example

Air and sunlight.

Gold and silver.
