  • The gifts of nature are the natural resources that exist in the environment without human intervention .

  • The gifts of nature can become resources with the passage of time when human beings discover, explore and utilize them for their benefit.

  • For example, coal was a gift of nature that remained buried under the earth for millions of years. It became a resource when human beings learned to extract and use it as a source of energy.

  • Another example is water , which is a gift of nature that covers most of the earth’s surface. It became a resource when human beings learned to store, transport and use it for various purposes, such as irrigation, drinking, sanitation, etc.

  • A third example is wind, which is a gift of nature that blows across the land and sea. It became a resource when human beings learned to harness and use it as a source of renewable energy.
