Inscriptions

Written records and graved on rock walls, metal pillars, walls of temples and palaces, and on clay and copper tablets are called inscriptions.

Monuments

Buildings of historical importance are called monuments.

Artifacts

Objects that humans made in the past - pottery tools, ornaments metal objects jewellery, and weapon are called artifacts.

Manuscripts

Handwritten records of the past , in the form of books, are called manuscripts. This work is usually written on palm leaves and the bark of birch trees. 

Archaeology

Study of the ancient period through a scientific analysis of Physical remains.

Excavation

Digging in search of something that has been buried for a very long time.
