  • Statement 1 - Father to daughter: I don’t want to hear your opinion about your marriage. In our family children marry where the parents tell them to. This statement does not keep democracy as a value as the daughter is not allowed to express her opinion. In a democracy, every individual has the fundamental right to express his/her opinion.
  • Statement 2- Teacher to student: Don’t disturb my concentration by asking me questions in the classroom This statement does not keep democracy as a value as students are not allowed to ask questions which is their right.
  • Statement 3 - Employee to the officer: Our working hours must be reduced according to the law. This statement does not keep democracy as a value as employees have certain rights and the company must ensure they do not exploit it in any manner. Employees voice his opinion for his right under the law.
