Given that 2 cards of hearts and 4 cards of spades are missing from a pack of 52 cards Since 2 cards of hearts are missing Number of red cards in the pack = 26 – 2 = 24 Also, 4 cards of spades are missing Number of black cards in the pack = 26 – 4 = 22 Thus, Total number of cards = 24 + 22 = 46 Now, Probability of getting a black card from the pack = (𝑁𝑢𝑚𝑏𝑒𝑟 𝑜𝑓 𝑏𝑙𝑎𝑐𝑘 𝑐𝑎𝑟𝑑𝑠 𝑙𝑒𝑓𝑡)/(𝑇𝑜𝑡𝑎𝑙. 𝑛𝑢𝑚𝑏𝑒𝑟 𝑜𝑓 𝑐𝑎𝑟𝑑𝑠 𝑙𝑒𝑓𝑡) = 𝟐𝟐/𝟒𝟔 So, the correct answer is (b)
