  • Environmental degradation's effects can be visible in other parts of the country or the world and are not limited by national or regional boundaries. To put it another way, we can say that environmental degradation is not limited to a single state or country. It has effects that are felt both globally and internationally .
    1. Food security and agricultural productivity are both impacted by land degradation . Importing food from other places will satisfy that region's need for food. The land resources in exporting regions will be put under further strain as a result.
    2. The increase in temperature is caused by the atmosphere's addition of greenhouse gases . Whether a country is developed or developing, it has an impact on every region of the world.
    3. Water pollution has an impact on the global availability of water.
    4. For example-
      • Pakistan, Bangladesh, and Sri Lanka are impacted if India pollutes the air through large thermal power plants or other sources.
      • This is true because air pollution, which affects entire continents, causes acid rain and climate change.
      • Similar to how Brazil's deforestation has affected South America's rainfall patterns, Bangladesh is significantly impacted by land degradation and damn burst in India as a result of rising floods and increased floodplains.
