Answer to be written in the Exam

  1. Pulses may grow in arid environments and require less moisture.  
  2. All of these plants, which are leguminous, contribute to restore soil fertility by fixing nitrogen from the air known as nitrogen fixation . So,b ecause of nitrogen fixation, it is grown in rotation with other crops .
  3. Major pulses are grown in India : tur (arhar), urad, moong, masur, peas and gram. 
  4. Madhya Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh are the two main pulse-producing states in India.
