  • Tribal people protested due to the following reasons:
    • Construction of Dams caused the displacement of local people in large numbers.
    • Constructing Dams caused the loss of their livelihood as they were dependent on agriculture.
    • Due to the loss of their harvest .
    • Also they demanded full rehabilitation facilities from the government .
