‘It’s easy to judge others and give advice, but much more difficult to apply it to ourselves.’ Elaborate with reference to the character of Sam in The Third Level.
Answer:
Through the reference of the character Sam in the chapter, The Third Level , we can justify the statement ‘It’s easy to judge others and give advice, but much more difficult to apply it to ourselves’ by the following instances -
- Sam told Charley that he was dissatisfied and looking for an escape and that The Third level is Charley’s imagination in order to escape his dissatisfaction and ;
- In the end, Sam himself goes in search of the Third Level , which helps us reach the conclusion that the advice we give to others is difficult to apply on ourselves.
