Answer:

The above mentioned materials are used to package everything which we use in our day to day lives.

• For example - To give a gift on birthday , the gift is packed and wrapped in a shiny paper or plastic-coated paper. After use the packing material is thrown in dustbin.  
• Also, all the groceries, toys, and toiletries come in either plastic or paper wraps. 
• So, when we use these items, we generate a lot of waste which is not good for the environment. Therefore, we should take measures to combat this problem like: choose paper packaging over plastic ones. 

All of the above mentioned things are used once and then are thrown away by people, thus resulting in an increase of the garbage in the surroundings.
