Uses of Nitrogen:

  1. It is used in the manufacture of ammonia.
  2. To produce nitric acid and subsequently used as a fertilizer.
  3. Liquid nitrogen is utilized as a refrigerant for transporting foodstuff and freezing purposes.
  4. Nitrogen gas is used to help with food preservation by preventing oxidative damage leading to food spoiling.
