Insulators:
Materials which do not allow electricity to pass through them are known as Insulators.
For Example - Rubber, Glass, Plastic, Wool etc.
Uses of Insulators
- Insulators are used for safety.
- Insulators protect us from getting electric shocks .
- Insulators allow us to handle current-carrying wires , switches, plugs, sockets, and other electrical appliances safely.
- For example : The electric wires are covered with insulators like plastic or rubber.
