What does a neuron look like?
Answer:
The brain, spinal cord and nerves form the nervous system and they are all composed of nervous tissues.
The cells are called nerve cells or neurons .
- Neuron consists of cell body or soma
- The cell body contains the nucleus
- It also consists of a short branched structure called dendrites
- The neurons consist of an elongated structure called axon
- The tip of the axon are called nerve endings
