Feel your muscles as you stretch your elbow and fold it
Can you feel your muscles contracting and relaxing?
The contraction and relaxation of these muscle cells result in movement .
Now let us consider another question,
What happens to the Oxygen that we breathe in?
- The Oxygen is absorbed in the lungs and then is transported to all the body cells through blood .
- The blood then carries the Oxygen along with other important substances like nutrients from digested food to different parts of the body.
- The blood also carries the waste substances from other parts of the body and brings to the liver and kidney for disposal .
Thus muscles and blood are examples of animal tissues .
