How is wool obtained from sheep?

Obtaining wool from sheep involves three main processes:

1. Selective Breeding 
2. Rearing of Sheep
3. Processing fibre obtained into wool.

Let’s look at each of the steps in detail

• Selective breeding -  is the process of selecting parents for obtaining special characteristics in the offspring is called selective breeding. 
• Rearing - means taking care of sheep till the time sheep are fully grown up for production of wool.
• Processing fibre obtained into wool - The obtained fibre is processed using several techniques so we can use it.
