• Amoeba has finger-like projections which are called Pseudopodia or False feet .
• When amoeba senses food, it pushes out pseudopodia around the food particle and engulfs it .
• The food engulfed by pseudopodia becomes trapped in a food vacuole .
• A food vacuole is a bubble of water containing the food particle captured by Amoeba.
