How will you separate sand and water from their mixture?  

 

Answer:

  • It can be separated by sedimentation and decantation . 
  • Take a beaker and put the mixture and allow it to stand. 
  • Sand settles down at bottom. 
  • This is sedimentation and waste can be separated out by decantation .
