What is control and coordination?

All these movements discussed in the previous section are in response to the environment.

That means, every change in the environment elicits a movement in response .

Example; if you fall down and get hurt, you immediately reach out for first aid.

Let us consider another scenario,

In a library, we do not talk loudly in order to not disturb the fellow readers. We merely whisper if we want to communicate.

We analyze and recognize various events or stimuli and display only the correct response.

(Stimulus (singular) / Stimuli (plural) - Things that cause an action or response)

Thus there is control and coordination in our movements with respect to events around us.

So in our body which has multicellular (organism consists of more than one cell) organ system level body organization, specialized tissues are used for control and coordination .

These tissues are nervous tissues and muscular tissues.

First we are going to discuss the Nervous System in detail.
