  • The seminal vesicles and prostate gland are the parts o f male reproductive system.
  • Seminal vesicles - They secrete 60-70% of semen plasma that contains fructose for sperm nourishmen t, proteins, prostaglandins for the movement of sperm to the female genital tract. Their secretion also activates the sperm .
  • Prostate Gland - it also produces 20-30% of semen plasma containing chemicals essential for sperm activity .
  • These sperms along with secretions of seminal vesicles and prostate glands constitute semen .
