Which signals will get disrupted in case of a spinal cord injury?

 

Answer

  • Spinal cord is a bundle of nerves that transmits;  
  • Sensory signals from different parts of the body to the brain
  • Signals from the brain to different parts of the body

            Thus all signals will get disrupted if there is a spinal cord injury.

Further, the spinal cord is also responsible for reflex action.

Sensory and motor signals involved in reflex actions are also disrupted if the spinal cord is injured.
