This fund is for Government or Semi government employees/Certain Universities/Instituitions

Taxabilty

Employers contribution – it is exempt from income tax

Employee’s contribution − it is treated saving under Section 80 C

Interest earned on PF – it is  exempt from income tax

Withdrawal of PF – it is exempt from  Income tax.
