State any one significance of the following devices in a domestic circuit: 

(i) Electric meter

(ii) Earthing

 

Answer:

(i) Electric meter: It used to record the consumption of electrical energy in the circuit in kWh .

(ii) Earthing: It is used to prevent an electric shock. It is the process of leaking excess current from the electrical appliances to the ground .
