Environmental Cue:
(i) In some animals, the temperature at which fertilized eggs are kept determines whether the developing animal in the egg is male or female.
(ii) In some animals like snail, the individual can change their sex under different environmental conditions.
Genetical cue:
(i) A child who inherits a Y-chromosome from the father will be a boy .
(ii) A child who inherits a X-chromosome from the father will be a girl .
