(a) Mention the role of the following organs of human male reproductive system:

(i) Testis;

(ii) Scrotum;

(iii) Vas deferens;

(iv) Prostate glands.

(b) What are the two roles of testosterone?

Answer:

(a)

(i) Testis - To produce male sex cells called sperm and to secrete male sex hormone called          testosterone.

(ii) Scrotum - To provide optimal temperature to testis for the formation of sperms. 

(iii) Vas deferens - Transfers the sperm from the testis to the urinary bladder.

(iv) Prostate glands - Secretes fluids that provide nutrition to the sperms and also makes their further transport easier.

(b) Roles of Testosterone are:

• Regulates formation of sperms.  
• Brings about the changes in boys during adolescence.
