    It is a thick solution that fills the cell, enclosed by the cell wall. Glucose breaks down into pyruvate in the cytoplasm.

    It is also known as the powerhouse of the cell
    Breakdown of Pyruvate takes place aerobically in the mitochondria

           It is responsible for conversion of light energy into chemical energy.

     

     (d) nucleus

          It supervises and regulates the activities of cells such as growth and metabolism
