- Carbonic acid (H 2 CO 3 ) is present in the aerated cool drinks we drink
- Sulphuric Acid (H 2 SO 4 ) is used in car batteries
- Sulphuric Acid (H 2 SO 4 ) is also used to manufacture Paints, dyes, synthetic fibres etc.
- Nitric acids (HNO 3 ) is used in manufacturing of fertilizers
- Hydrochloric Acid (HCl) present in our stomach aids in the process of digestion
- Acetic acid (CH 3 COOH) is used in the form of Vinegar in our kitchen
- Citric acid (C 6 H 8 O 7 ) is present in citrus fruits like lemon and orange
- Tartaric acid (C 4 H 6 O 6 ) obtained from fruits like grapes is used as a flavouring agent in foods and in manufacturing of wine .
- Salicylic Acid (C₇H₆O₃) is present in Aspirin , which is a medicine used to reduce fever and pain
- Acids are also used in labs to perform experiments and to analyse substances based on reactions.
