Name three liquids, which when tested in the manner shown in Fig.14.9, may cause the magnetic needle to deflect.

Answer

The magnetic needle will deflect if there is current passing through it.

And current will pass through the solution if it is a good conductor of electricity.

 

We know that Acids, Bases and Salt are good conductors of electricity.

 

So, 3 liquids can be

  • Lemon Juice
  • Soap Water
  • Salt Water
