What do you mean by acceleration due to gravity

Answer

When a body falls on earth, a uniform acceleration is produced due to gravitational force of the earth.

This is called acceleration due to gravity.

Acceleration due to gravity is denoted by g.

Its value is g = 9.8 m/s 2
